Repeat the workout with 1/3 the weight.

  9. Agreed. do the same, light short workout to remove the soreness day or 2 after those muscles were worked.

2:18 Maximum recovery formula: 1) Infrared sauna, 2) Stretching, 3) Hydration, 4) Mobility / trigger point sessions (moving work, blood/fluid flow, myofascial release). 4 = not laying around the next day, but moving.
3:50 For swollen muscles, use ELDOA stretches

  12. I gotta say, doing 30 minutes walks outside each night has made all the difference for me! Put some tunes/podcast on and it’s quite enjoyable!

  13. Massage gun ๐Ÿ‘Œ

  14. I heard some studies about consuming casein protein at night to improve your recovery and I can feel that it has worked when I’m expecting to have much more soreness when I wake up.

  15. I dont wanna get up

  16. @cynthiajordan3860 April 2, 2025 at 7:41 pm

Movement feels like the natural thing to do. Just keep moving.

  17. @g_rec_attempt6782 April 2, 2025 at 7:42 pm

I usually do 3-4 days of lifting + 1 day of medium / high cardio. Followed by 2 rest days. The cardio kicks my entire system into overdrive and by the end of the two redt days I have no soreness anymore.

If I skip the conditioning and take 3 days off instead of two. Ill still be sore once the schedule restarts.

But that’s just me and my experience.

  18. Since when does Stipe Miocic speak perfect English

  19. @BiggieSmalls946 April 2, 2025 at 7:42 pm

I’m glad I found this channel

  20. For me it’s good quality sleep, increase calories and water intake and do light movement like walking and biking.

  21. Donโ€™t go to a gym but i play tennis for fun and yesterday my mate tired out my legs .

  22. @bonginkosikhohliso8204 April 2, 2025 at 7:51 pm

For me it will be water food movements. This I must move all day

  23. @hhhaaarrrmmmaaannn April 2, 2025 at 7:53 pm

Ngl heโ€™s right about the movement thing. I had my first wrestling practice yesterday which made my back and legs incredibly sore. 10 min ago I did 5 deep bodyweight squats and 5 striq form pushups to get the blood flowing in the area, and now my soreness is like 60 percent gone ๐Ÿ‘

  24. What works like a charm for me is soak in an epsom salt bath for about 30 minutes then get out and stretch for about 10 minutes. Damn near heals immediately

  25. @rollinupinyah1802 April 2, 2025 at 8:00 pm

Best video on muscle recovery on the internet.

  26. The second day and my quads hurt so badly I can’t get out of a chair without using my hands… ugh ๐Ÿ˜ซ

  27. Deep tissue massage machines have helped me loads ..

  28. Shadow box!

  29. Murph workout for memorial day destroyed me ๐Ÿ˜… Did 3 min cold plunge, stretched, foam rolled, used my hypervolt, and took L-glutamine. Worked for everything except my lats which I did not foam roll. I’ll be using bands to increase blood flow, may do another ice bath, maybe some contrast therapy, walking, and will stretch. Solid advice guys! Thanks

  30. I found this method works very well after the COVID vaccination. Keep moving your arm after the COVID vaccination and make sure you are hydrated as well. Trust me. I shared this with many friends and they all acknowledged it. Most of my post vaccinations soreness lasted about 1 day, maximum. The challenge is that you have to overcome the discomfort when you are moving your arm. But trust me. It is effective like what Sal Did Stefano said.

  31. I tried doing a massage session after exercising my legs, but the situation got worse

  32. @yungkurkots2528 April 2, 2025 at 8:08 pm

U damn right. Stretching and massaging and doing light exercises makes the pain go away in minutes.

  33. This makes sense! Thank you

  34. @dominicvargas297 April 2, 2025 at 8:18 pm

You will lose muscle if you don’t move after exercise. Lol.

  35. @jay_browncomedy April 2, 2025 at 8:19 pm

Everytime I’ve randomly searched something and have seen these guys talking it has been the absolute most accurate, most effective stuff. Thanks guys.

  36. @IceColdProfessional April 2, 2025 at 8:19 pm

The best recovery for soreness is food, rest, and movement!

  43. These guys are fucking IDIOTS

  44. Sore legs after doing squats?

Do More squats ! EVERYDAY IS LEG DAY!

  45. @weilijrfang7364 April 2, 2025 at 8:24 pm

Is that the same guy who said there is a lot to do with life beside working out talking about working out? ๐Ÿง

  46. I really don’t think active recovery works. Ive been training hard and heavy for 12 years
However training the same body parts 2-3 times a week instead of 1 does a little bit because u end up getting stronger and less sore. I do 1rm alot and push myself. Ive tried everything. Grounding and more sleep work and just eat a fucking tonne. In a calorie deficit its impossible to avoid

  47. Gotta agree with mobility. After a leg day, things like bodyweight squats, a short bike ride or taking the stairs instead of the elevator does wonders for me. Stretching in my experience doesn’t do shit for soreness. Massages are great if you’ve got tightness, but for general recovery, not so much I’d say.

  48. In my experience sleep is the best recovery. I don’t need a massage or sauna or anything. I do swimming 6 times a week, 3 weight lifting sessions and have one day off

  49. @kasparovthegodofwar April 2, 2025 at 8:29 pm

This guy has no idea what he’s talking about.

Steroid jacked lifters give the worst advice from lifting form to recovery.

  50. Yeah no shot because your moving the lactic acid out and around from your muscles
